March is Workplace Eye Wellness Month
Why is this important?
It is estimated that over 2000 eye injuries occur each day with 1 in 10 resulting in lost work days. Of these injuries up to 20% will cause temporary or permanent eye damage.
According to the Prevent Blindness America (PBA) Organization 90% of all eye injuries are preventable.
This is the time to re-evaluate your eye safety policies. Using the correct safety eyewear can lessen or completely prevent most eye injuries.
