Heat Syncope is fainting or a fainting episode or dizziness that occurs often times with prolonged standing or sudden rising from a sitting or lying position.  Heat syncope happens when the body is dehydrated and dizziness occurs.

Symptoms are light headedness, dizziness, and fainting under high heat environments.

First aid for heat syncope is similar to other heat related illness. The victim needs to lie down in a cool place, drink a sports drink and place a cold pack on the back of the neck.
